As the week went by a few interviews were done to add to the fun of the blog. Unfortunately with limited internet connection, I was unable to add them. Hope you enjoy them!

Well, I must admit, I absolutely loved my time with each of these precious little ones. There are sure memories that will stay with me forever. Every moment, easy or tough, was worth the while, and to see these little ones learning and maturing is a real pleasure.
Thank you to all the parents, as you are the ones who made this trip possible. It was worth the sacrifice.
Now we rest, and ready ourselves to tackle the remainder of the year. Once again, thank you to all parents, and a BIG thank you to Mrs. Banor and Mrs. Vismer who played vital roles on this trip!
Kids, I love you all, and see you soon back at school!!

It was a very smooth experience booking in for our flight back home. The St. Dennis airport was neat and although not very big, bigger than St. Pierre. What was lovely was our detour through the town itself, where we saw beautiful old buildings and houses dating back to the 1800's. All in very good condition. Then stunning mountainous scenery behind was all very lovely. All in all, a fabulous time had by all!! Thank you Mr. Kaiyo for making this very special time possible!! Until next time...

With great speed, the week flew by and now our final day in Reunion had arrived. The students, obviously eager to get going, had no problem waking up earlier than usual. Most of the packing had happened the night before and so there was only the matter of sorting out bedding, having breakfast and then final last minute checks that all was in order. Good-byes to our very special Claudie with a gift to say a HUGE thank you!! And of course hugs all round. It was the trip of a life time, and it was now time to go home.
Once we were down the windy mountain pass and on the highway heading north, everyone started planning on what they would be buying at the supermarket we would be making a stop at. There was certainly a buzz in the air with the last anticipated fun event.
Back on the bus once again and celebrating the open highway, we made our way closer to St. Dennis. Amazing tunnels were driven through and high rock cliff faces covered with wire safety mesh were seen. Finally we stopped at an unusual spot for lunch - an abandoned old railway area with a real steam train to play on. Opened in the 1800's, it was fun to look around while everyone ate their lunches and rested.

After the most amazing time in the Aventure Park, we clambered back onto the bus to get down the mountains to the sea and St. Pierre. It was hard work navigating through the mazes of zip lines and so everyones appetites were stronger than usual. Also, after Mrs. Banor's description of what we'd be eating, we were pretty excited about lunch! American Sandwiches and Pizza!! After we received our "Mini" sized breads, we realised why they might've been called American - HUGE! What in the world would a normal sized one have been like to finish??
Later, after everyone had finally eaten all they could, we took a lovely walk down to the peer and saw the lovely coast line with real waves. The children all cheered like crazy for the 2 surfers, unbeknown to them. In front of us the hot sun and sea; and behind us, the misty, cooler mountains. How special this afternoon was for us.
No big lunch is every complete without a dessert - so off we trekked into the heart of town in search for the famous LGM Ice cream shop. (It sounded like a technology equipment store to me.) Everyone was allowed up to 2 scoops. I still cannot believe that some of our students managed to finish theirs as I only had 1 scoop and that was quite a challenge! One funny moment was when the shop attendant asked Mr. Kaiyo (who was going first) what he wanted, he looked up and down the enormous display of different flavours and froze! He couldn't decide, as the selection was so broad. All we can say is - YUMMY! Thank you to all that helped make this moment possible!!
