It’s Friday morning after breakfast and everyone had a better nights sleep than the night before. Maybe it had to do with all the sleeping on the bus or perhaps some shopping therapy? This morning the weather from the volcano seemed to have followed us here and so we were surrounded in a beautiful cold mist. We could not even see the mountain behind us. After devotions and breakfast, we quickly dressed a bit warmer and headed to the classroom where Claudie began teaching the students about the moons phases and the different types of eclipses.

Claudie showing us where we traveled yesterday.
The Lunar phases.
Watching how the moon rotates around the earth.

The tilt of the earth.

Eclipses being explained.
Great books for the students to have a look at.
Mr. Kaiyo keeping up with all the information.
Sticking in in the worksheets of the work covered.

Claudie showing the students photos of the International Space Station.
After a long time in the classroom, all of us were eager for lunch! It's a good thing too because it was really delicious today!

Ahhhh - YUM!
That was soooo good!
After some time in our rooms to settle the big lunch (with some fun and games too), we returned to the classroom again to learn more about our solar system. Claudie really expounded on everything possible and our students did not disappoint with great questions and interaction - well done Grade 6's!!
Our solar system and the different planets and their rotations.

AND WE'RE DONE!!
